Hi There

Hi Everybody,
First of all, you must forgive my english because I haven't written anything in like two years so it's getting pretty rusty.
Welcome to my new blog, I have to say I tried to create one last year but it didn't work out so this time I'll try to make it better, and I'll try to write on it every once in a while. I have to say most of the time I'll write in Spanish, I guess that will be good for some of you, like Jeremy, you'll get to practice your spanish, but sometimes I'll also write in english in order to keep you informed.
I'll star where I left it three year ago.
Three years ago, July 2005 my Dad, my sister and some friends, came to pick me up in the United States, we went to Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and San Francisco after that we returned to Spain to spend August and I decided to go my senior year to Germany, in order to learn some German.
I lived by my aunt for four months aprox. and I found out that Germany wasn't made for me at that time, it was my senior year, a very important course, so in January 2006 y came back home to Santiago, in order to get the best grades I could, to go to college and study Audiovisual Comunication. After 6 months of hard studying I took the College exams, but my grades weren't good enough for Audiovisual comunication so I changed plans.
That Summer I spent a month working, and we went ten days to Scotland, we ate butter fingers and we visited Loch Ness ad midnight with full moon when the stars were aligned (just kidding, it was raining and our car broke up), and we didn't get to see the monster.
When I got back to Santiago I aplied to the School of Arts to do a two years certificate in Sculpture. I got in, but I also wanted to go to College, so I matriculated in Arthistory, I thought it could be interesting, and the faculty of History was very closed to the Scholl of Arts. In October 2006 I started Sculpture and college.
From the second day I spent in college (firs day were only the presentations) I found out that Art History was really meant for me, a whole new world appeared, in my Junior and Senior year I had math, biology, quemistry, physics, and I had no idea about what the roman empire was so it was amazing to discover Mesopotamia, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, the Bizantine Empire and so on.
The School of arts was also very interesting, that's pretty much what I've benn doing last two years, Sculpture and Arthistory and it's been a lot of fun most of the time. In sculpture first year we worked with wood, plastics, and we had a great class about polichromy, this year we worked with stone and metal so we learned a little bit of everything. But I have to say it wasn't fun all the time because we had some problems with some teachers, one of them was ill for like three months and we got no substitute teacher for example. At the end of the classes we had two months to make a final "masterwork" and work somewhere as sculpturers. I worked a month in a Bussness of scenery design called scenoset and it was great because I learned a lot about scenery, and I made my final masterwork in marble, I'll show you a picture.
As for College, I had a lot of fun all the time, some professors were better than others, and I have to say there were some bad professors, and one of them was also ill for like ten out of thirty classes but everything I learned was incredible, and I never had so much fun preparing exams. Every day before the exam you think "wow, I wish I had more time to study because this is so interesting, I wish I had time to read some twenty books about the subject", but you never have that time, though I have to say Asimov saved my life. As I told you I had no idea about history, when most of my classmates spent Junior and Senior year studying history, greek and latin, so I read all the books that Asimov wrote on ancient history, because they were very easy to read and very interesting, I highly recomend Asimov for those of you who have no time for history, my favourite one, "Greeks".
I also had a lot of fun with class essays, my favourite one was an investigation esay about an alterpiece in a Church in Madrid, for that essay I went many times to Madrid in order to talk to the priest and also to ge some pictures and learn about the altarpiece "in situ", that was great, and very exciting, it was a piece from the 18th century, so I also got to read some letters that the artist itself wrote, to understand better the content of the images, and I have to say, now I love investigating, and I wish one day I could work as an Arthistorian researcher, my grades did improve a lot since my senior year, so who knows....
As many of you know, I can't just stay in one place for too long, and I've been here in Santiago for the past two years and six months, so I decided it was time to leave and I aplied for an Erasmus Scholarship to go to Munich
Yes, I'll be going to the same place in Germany where I was last time, I'll be living with my aunt because Munich is very expensive, but now I know I'm ready, maybe last time I was too young, or I wasn't mature enogh, or maybe I just wasn't prepared, but now I am, and I'm very excited about it.
I chose Munich for two reasons, one was my family, and the other one were the Museums, I didn't know anything about the Faculty of Arthistory in Munich, but I knew the Art Museums were some of the best in Germany so the faculty ought to be really good. And I wasn't wrong, first of all I have to say that the University of Munich, well, both of them, (I'll be going to Ludwig Maximitian University if you wan't to check the web) are two of the best elite Universities in Germany, there are nine elite Universities, and Munich is one of them. I know nothing about elite universities in Germany but I promise I'll write about it when I found out more information.
Well, I think it's enough for the first english post, and I'll probably write more tomorrow with some pictures, just let me tell you that I made this blog, because I'll be leaving to Germany in two weeks and I would like to have some good memories on the internet.

LOVE

P.S. Queiroa is a galician word for a beautiful plant, I think the english name is ling, from the family of ericaceae
